Discovery Consultation

Before we decide what comes next, we orient.

This complimentary 30-minute conversation is for individuals and couples considering a Personal Discovery Intensive. Its purpose is simple: to explore whether this type of work may be appropriate for what you are hoping to understand, and whether the timing is right.

You do not need to prepare your full story before we meet.

Family and parenting inquiries are welcome, too. If an Intensive is not the appropriate lane, the conversation can help identify a better next step.

We are answering two questions:

01

Is a Personal Discovery Intensive appropriate for what you are hoping to work on?

02

Is this the right time for this kind of focused work?

This is not a therapy session, does not establish a therapist-client relationship, and is not a crisis service.

In-Person Discovery Settings

Place can be part of hospitality.

You do not have to sit across from me in a clinical office simply because you are bringing an important question. Some people feel more comfortable walking, sitting outside, meeting over coffee, or choosing a quieter community setting.

Quiet + private-ish

Library study rooms, private meeting rooms, or partner spaces.

Coffee + conversation

A carefully chosen local café when a casual setting feels easier.

Walk + talk

A market, campus, museum grounds, greenway, or park when movement helps.

Nature + stillness

A garden, lakeside area, park bench, picnic table, or other vetted outdoor setting.

Art + culture

Museums, cultural spaces, and community environments that invite curiosity.

Choose for me

Tell me your area and I will recommend a setting based on privacy, logistics, and comfort.

What I’ll Ask Before We Meet

Very little, on purpose.

You are not completing an intake before a consultation. A few pieces of information are enough to orient. The online booking page asks only the first two questions; in-person requests also include your preferred area and setting.

01What are you hoping to get more clarity or understanding about?

Brief is completely fine. You do not need to share your full history here.

02Is this consultation for an individual, couple, family/parenting concern, or are you not sure yet?
03If meeting in person, which area is easiest?

Fayetteville · Springdale / Johnson · Rogers · Bentonville · Other

04If meeting in person, what kind of setting would you prefer?

Quiet/private-ish · Coffee · Walk + talk · Nature · Art/community · Choose for me

A Note About Public & Outdoor Meetings

You are never expected to tell your whole story in a public place.

Community and outdoor settings can feel comfortable and human, but they cannot guarantee the same level of privacy as a private office or secure virtual meeting. The Discovery Consultation is intentionally an orientation conversation, not a therapy or trauma-processing session. You are never expected to share detailed clinical history in a public setting. If greater privacy would be more appropriate, we can use an online or private setting instead.

Come As You Are

You can bring the question before you have the answer.

That is what the consultation is for.
